Description of Liquid silicone rubber for injection mold making:

Liquid silicone rubber for injection mold making is a two-part high purity addition cured silicone pecifically designed for liquid injection molding, which can be fully automatically injection molded without secondary processing.They are platinum curing and vulcanize under heat and pressure.

Specification of Liquid Silicone for Injection Molding:

Vulcanisates consisting of  Q940 are distinguished by the following properties:

·High flowability, low viscosity and short injection time.

·Low volatiles content; Fast cure

·Excellent mold release, Excellent Thermal stability

·Excellent compression set; Excellent resilience

·High stability to ozone and ultraviolet light

·Outstanding resistance to ageing

·Not readily combustible, does not melt or drip

·Easy-pigmentable with LSR Colour Pastes fulfill the requirement of KTW

Processing Recommendations of Liquid Silicone for Injection Molding:

Ready-to-use mixtures (of the components A and B) are fed directly to the injectionmoulding machine from the original containers by means of a metering and mixing unit. The mixture, consisting of the two components in the ratio 1:1, is injected into the heated mould. Because of low viscosity, the injection daospeed and injection pressure need to be carefully adjusted so that the injection time can be decreased. At mould temperatures of 170 - 230°C, the addition -crosslinking silicone rubber vulcanises free of dissociation products within a few seconds. Excellent flowability and easy demoulding permit fully automated production of large numbers of articles in shorter total cycle times.

Shelf life of Liquid Silicone for Injection Molding:

8-10 months when stored under 24°C in original unopened packages.

Package of Liquid Silicone for Injection Molding:

The general packages of Q940 is in 20kg and 200kg per barrel.
