Application of liquid mold making rtv silicone

Liquid RTV2 silicone rubber is mainly be used as following:

1. Decoration building mould making, including architecture column, porch column, interior column etc

2. Unsaturated rein crafts, epoxy resin crafts, poly resin crafts , plastic toys and so on.

3. Concrete decoration, garden statue ,plant, sculpture, Buddha and animal crafts ..

Features of liquid mold making rtv silicone

1 Two part of liquid fluid: liquid white silicone and curing agent.

2 Cure at room-temperature within 4-8 hours, but all performance will act perfectly when it cure within 24 hours.

3 Good fluidity and excellent operation.

4 Good resistance to weather, temperature, aging, acid..

5 Excellent tear strength, comfortable duplication times.

Usually, we do not suggest customer to add silicone oil to the silicone to adjust the shore A. If necessary, we would suggest to add as 5% silicone oil.

3.Operation Instruction for liquid mold making rtv silicone

   a.  Liquid RTV-2 silicone rubber for statue toy, stone ,gypsum column mold

is a flowing liquid with general hardness of 22-50A°after curing .

    b.If the customer wants to make large products and large size molds, the mold should be made of silicone rubber with high hardness. On the contrary, if  the mold with fine and precision patterns , it should be made of silicon with low hardness.

    c. The amount of the curing agent depends on the actual requirements of the customer. If molds requiring fast drying and demould, more curing agent is needed; contrarily, if molds requiring slower drying and demould, less curing agent is needed.

(Note: our company does not recommend you to add silicon oil. If a special soft silicon mold or fine detailed and complex patterns products are required, 5%-10% silicone oil can be added to soften the mold for easy demould.)

4.The proportions and reactions of the curing agent and the silicon are listed as follows:

a. Adding curing agent 1%, the silicon can still be operated within 2.5 hours and can be demoulded after 6-8 hours.

b. Adding curing agent 2%, the silicon can still be operated within 50 minutes to 1 hour and can be demoulded after 2-3 hours.

c. Adding curing agent 3%, the silicon can still be operated within 28 - 30 minutes and can be demoulded after 1.5-2 hours.

d. Adding curing agent 4%, the silicon can still be operated within 10 - 15 minutes and can be demoulded after 1 -1.5 hours.
